Peter Westerhaus

Peter is Vice President and Principal of SBS. Peter is a graduate of St. John’s University in Collegeville, MN, where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Government and Economics. Prior to joining SBS, he served as an account manager for Biotrol, a venture capital funded company providing environmental cleanup services. As Vice President, Peter oversees SBS’ operations, business development and administrative groups. In this role, his focus is on providing clients with highly accurate election services while maintaining a financially sound company. He is passionate about developing secure electronic voting tools that reduce the client’s costs while assuring ease of use and accessibility to all eligible voters. Peter helped spearhead SBS’ three major software releases for online voting. Peter also manages a select group of member-based elections. In this capacity, he works directly with non-profit associations, cooperatives, and public pension funds to design, perform and certify the voting process.
