Survey & Ballot Systems (SBS) recently celebrated its birthday in June, and during that celebration we were able to look back on our 26 years in business as a leading election services provider. In addition to providing the best possible elections to our clients, we also find our role in the local community to be equally important.
From June 6th to June 24th, our staff took part in a donation drive, raising personal care items for Mary’s Place, a shelter in Minneapolis, MN. With the staff split into three competing teams, we were able to raise over 517 items! The winning team with the most donations received a pizza lunch, and all staff got to contribute to an organization doing great things in our hometown. Some pictures of the drive are included below.
Mary’s Place specializes in providing transitional living for homeless families with children. They have 100 apartments in their complex that are able to house around 500 residents at any one time. All of these services are completely privately funded by donations from the surrounding community, and SBS is proud to play a part in supporting their mission.
Look for more SBS giving back activities throughout the year – we’ll keep you updated on all the work we are doing in the local community. If you would like to learn more about Mary’s Place and the work they do, check out their website here. As always, if you have any other questions or would like to speak about your next election, feel free to contact us.
