SBS Response to Coronavirus

The staff at Survey & Ballot Systems (SBS) hopes this message finds you and your family members healthy and safe during the challenge of COVID-19.  SBS has been closely monitoring and following all the updates and recommendations from the CDC as well as state and local authorities.

Our philosophy as a business is to approach this situation with empathy and urgency; SBS’ top priority is the health and safety of our employees and of the communities we serve, including our customers and partners.

On Wednesday, March 25th, the Governor of Minnesota (our corporate location) issued an executive “Stay-at Home” order effective Friday, March 27 through Friday, April 10, 2020. SBS has been deemed a “Critical” business and will be fully operational during this time.

As part of our business continuity plan, SBS has implemented working from home for all staff able to perform their duties remotely. As a critical business, SBS staff overseeing receipt and tabulation of mail-in paper materials are eligible to continue to work in our office.

Our key partners providing print and mail services have also been deemed essential, and we will continue operations without disruption. Our data center has prepared contingency operations securing their mission-critical facilities enabling the continued operation of SBS web services.

We are in regular contact with the Postal Service and are fully at their discretion regarding delivery, outbound, and inbound postage. We expect some slower delivery times and are also monitoring for signs of disruption coming with their service.
