Acclamation

With acclamation, member organizations make decisions not with a formal ballot, but through verbal agreement. In most cases, acclamation is a time-saving tool to approve a candidate who’s running unopposed or if members are unlikely to oppose a measure. While acclamation can certainly speed up the decision-making process, it could potentially silence the voices of members who don’t agree with the verbal decision.
