Response Rate

Last Updated on February 18, 2026 by Hannah Seeley

Response rate is the percentage of eligible members who cast a ballot in an election. For example, if an organization has 1,000 members and 250 vote, the response rate would be 25%. Administrators carefully monitor response rates to gauge the effectiveness of the organization’s voter outreach, since low response rates may indicate problems with member engagement, communication strategies, or accessibility of the voting process.
