Articles of Incorporation

You need to file articles of incorporation to create a member organization. These are legal documents that establish a corporate entity in your state. The documents differ by location, but they usually include the organization’s official name, mission, and governing structure. Articles of incorporation aren’t the same as bylaws; they don’t guide day-to-day operations but instead create your legal foundation.
