Ballot Package

Last Updated on February 18, 2026 by Hannah Seeley

A ballot package is a set of voting materials that organizations send to members for an election. It can be either digital or physical, and includes both the ballot and any supporting documents. Every association has different requirements for ballot packages, which are determined by bylaws and other governance rules. In most cases, these packages include the ballot itself, voting instructions, deadlines, candidate bios, ballot measure summaries, and secure return envelopes (for print ballots).
