Delegation is the process by which an association assigns voting power from one person to another. This usually involves appointing delegates to represent members’ interests at conventions or annual meetings. Delegation is common in larger associations where not every member votes directly. While it requires the proper setup to ensure transparency and accountability, delegation can streamline governance.
