End-to-end encryption is a cybersecurity approach that protects sensitive data at all times, whether it’s in transit or storage. Member organizations should always use voting platforms that offer end-to-end encryption, which secures electronic ballots from the moment they’re cast to when they’re counted. This setup ensures no one – including the election platform provider – can alter or intercept votes.
