Executive Committee
Last Updated on June 8, 2026 by Hannah Seeley
An executive committee is a subset of the board that takes action on behalf of the board between meetings. An executive committee keeps the organization on track by making time-sensitive decisions, but it still operates according to your bylaws. The executive committee can’t make unilateral decisions, though. The full board still needs to ratify its decisions during a regular meeting.
