Proxy Solicitation

Proxy solicitation happens when a member asks the organization to authorize someone else to vote on their behalf. Some organizations will automatically offer a proxy, while others require members to request it individually. Proxies can help ensure participation if a member can’t attend, but too many proxies can indicate engagement issues in your organization.
