Robert’s Rules of Order

Whether you realize it or not, many membership organizations still use Robert’s Rules to run efficient and fair meetings. Established in 1876, Robert’s Rules of Order are still a major part of governance procedures in organizations across the country. The rules include requirements for managing motions, seconding them, giving members information, and calculating majority rule in elections.
