Special Meeting

Sometimes organizations need to meet outside of their regular schedule. To do that, you can call a special meeting, which gives the group a forum to address urgent issues. You may need to call a special meeting if there’s a sudden change in leadership or need to update your bylaws. While special meetings are usually held on an ad hoc, short-term basis, you still need to follow member notification rules to hold a compliant meeting.
