Second to a Motion

Second to a motion means that at least one other person agrees that your organization should consider a motion, or a formal proposal brought to the meeting by a member. In most cases, a motion must be seconded before the group can address or vote on it. It may seem like a formality, but this motion ensures your organization only spends time on issues that members care about.
