Consent Agenda
Last Updated on June 9, 2026 by Hannah Seeley
Not all topics or ideas require a formal debate. If you have several routine or non-controversial items, you can use a consent agenda to combine them into a single vote. In most cases, you can approve the items without discussion, unless a member requests it. Consent agendas are helpful for streamlining meetings while empowering members to vote on small but important matters. They also give you more time to discuss important issues, keeping meetings focused and on time.
