Supermajority Vote

Some organizations require a supermajority vote to pass certain motions or bylaw updates. With a supermajority vote, you need more than a simple majority. In most cases, this is two-thirds or three-quarters of all votes cast. Most organizations reserve supermajority requirements only for big decisions, like mergers or bylaw changes.
