Voting Threshold
Last Updated on July 8, 2026 by Hannah Seeley
The voting threshold is the minimum percentage or number of votes required to pass a motion or win an election. Some organizations require a simple majority, while others require a two-thirds majority. A high voting threshold indicates strong member confidence in a particular candidate or issue, but it does require high participation rates.
